Dungeons and Diptychs
Inspired by the fantasy world of Dungeons and Dragons and the textile-block Storer House, I created a diptych-like twin of the Storer House by Frank Lloyd Wright. After following a series of transformations including rotating and extruding faces of the Storer House, a similar yet different twin was created, and the two masses were conjoined. Using the grid like nature of the precedent and the 5’x5’ playing grid of Dungeons and Dragons, architectural and dungeon-esque drawings were created that show how they relate and differ to one another.
